UNT dance students tackle tough topics at New Choreographers Concert Dec. 1-3

<p>The New Choreographers Concert will feature performances on tough topics from the Department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Texas. The show runs 8 p.m. Dec. 1-2 (Friday-Saturday) and 2 p.m. Dec. 3 (Sunday) at the University Theater inside the Radio, Television, Film and Performing Arts Building.</p>

UNT partnering with Indian Institute of Technology for bioimplant longevity research

<p>As the population age 65 and older in the U.S. – and the world – grows, so does the need for bioimplants, such as artificial knees and hips, dental prosthetics and cardiovascular devices. Implant surgeries can be taxing on older demographics who tend to take longer to recover, and once a bioimplant is inserted, there’s no guarantee it will last. Sundeep Mukherjee, University of North Texas associate professor of materials science and engineering, wants to change that.</p>

Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series</a> presents Poetry Night with Karla Morton and Edyka Chilomé at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 (Wednesday) in the University Union Lyceum. Tickets are not required and there is no charge for this event. </p>

Grammy-nominated franchise and Broadway tunes create “An Enchanted Evening” at UNT College of Music gala

What: The annual University of North Texas College of Music Gala, this year titled An Enchanted Evening - An Homage to the Leading Ladies of Broadway, is presented by Independent Bank and will feature a concert showcasing the UNT Symphony Orchestra and select student vocalists under the direction of David Itkin. The performance is open to the public. The Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band, directed by Alan Baylock, will perform for guests of the reception and dinner to follow at UNT Gateway Center.
